Helping Others
"Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love."
Lao-Tzu Chinese philosopherIf your group is interested in knitting items for the less fortunate there are a number of charitable organizations to donate to. You will find a list of organizations who will accept knitted goods below.
When choosing a project be certain that the knitted items will be useable by the intended organization, and be within the skill level of your knitting circle. It is always best to contact the organization first to understand what their needs are.
Next you will need a supply of yarn. We have compiled a list of stores who have generously offered to be depots for yarn donated by the public. Please visit the Provincial links in the left navigation side bar. By weaving your need for yarn into your knitting circle's promotions you can advise the public of how they can help you with your charity project.
The information on this page is by no means complete. Please help us expand the lists of organizations, web sites, and stores to make this section a better resource.
