Circle Chat

June
Dear Knitters,
I have just spent the loveliest of weekends at our summer place. I am predicting a “Goldilocks” Summer; one that is not too hot nor not too cold. It will be just right. I have only two weeks of school left and only two days of that will be putting up with students whose minds are elsewhere.

To the Point
This newsletter needs to be short and sweet and to the point so that it can be added to the website in time for our Spring Knit-out as well as notify everyone of our plans for July. I am not sure when I will be near a computer in July so I will do it now.

Spring Knit-out
Everyone is invited to our first Knit-Out in the Park. Stop by anytime between 11 am and 3 pm on Saturday June 21 at Memorial Park in Armstrong. We will be sitting, chatting and knitting. Do bring along some knitting or crocheting and share in the joy of knitting. Patti at the Chamber says we are the kick off event for the eleven days leading up to Canada Day. Go, Knitters, Go.

July Pot Luck
Carol has graciously agreed to be our hostess for the second annual Knitting Circle Armstrong Pot Luck on Thursday, July 24th. This is a bring everything you need affair. Don’t forget your pot luck dish for dinner, plates, forks, beverage, lawn chair and a hubby if he wants to come, for dinner is at 5 pm. Carol’s address is 4224 Popular Drive and her phone number is 546-4045. She has a Spanish style home with a red tile roof. She wanted to remind everyone that she doesn’t have a BBQ so cook that meat at home. I took a picture of her map and hope that you can read it. I will attach it to this email.

Have some time?
Pat could use an hour or so of your time helping to sort all our wool. With all the influx of new yarn and pick up of yarn by members our supply has become rather mixed up. She could use a hand sorting the wool by weight. Give her a call at 546-2465 to arrange a time.

I am wishing everyone in advance a nice summer. See you at the Park.
