June

Dear Knitters,

Spring is definitely here. I think I have more spring fever than the students I work with.

Summer Slow Down
We have cut our knitting circle meetings back to once a month during the busy summer months. Mark your calendar so you won’t miss them. The dates for summer are all Thursdays; June 14, July 12, August 2, and September 13.

Picnic Pot Luck
We are planning a pot luck picnic at Pat’s house on Thursday, July 12th, in place of a meeting. Things to bring: chairs, plates, cutlery, glasses, hubby, beverage of choice and of course a dish to share. More details and directions next month.

June Meeting
I thought we might have some fun and examine the often overlooked art of making knitted i-cords. The simple cord can be used as a method of holding a garment together. It is also used as a decorative edging or for handles. And if you’re really creative you can make a frog out of it as a closure for a cardigan. You can bring double pointed needles and yarn if you’d like to give it a try.

See you on Thursday, June 14th at 7pm at the Chamber.

Happy Knitting,

Judy
