March

Dear Knitters,
Spring is definitely in the air. For the first time in many years as I approach my Spring Break of two weeks I am feeling energized instead of being burnt out. I am looking forward to my time away reading, sleeping, KNITTING, and eating well. We will try to squeeze in pruning our apple trees, clearing the garden of snow, and cleaning the house.

Cute hats
Thanks to all for continuing to make hats, scarves and of course sewing blankets together. Our supply of the items is increasing and will be donated to the Gleaners when the representative returns from the sunny south.

Felted Bags
If anyone is interested in making felted bags we have lots of felting type wool. Here are a few patterns to consider. The first one has a nice edge made of eyelash (of which we also have lots in stock). Call Pat (546-2465) to pick up yarn.

Knit Out
At our last meeting we discussed the possibility of having a knit-out on a Saturday in May or June. A knit-out is simply an invitation to all knitters to come to a park, pull up a folding chair and knit and chat for a few hours. More on this later.

April Meetings
Our meetings are full of laughter, chatter, sharing pointers and projects. Please join us in April on the 3rd, 10th, and 24th at 7pm at the Chamber of Commerce.

Enjoy the sun, rain and fresh spring air.
